What it is
UC Davis Health runs early psychosis programs, including its EDAPT and SacEDAPT clinics, that deliver coordinated specialty care in an outpatient setting: targeted medication management, individual, family, and group work, case management, and supported education and employment, with the goal of early diagnosis and prevention of disability.
The statewide network
A consortium of early psychosis clinics across California is organized through a learning health care network called EPI-CAL, the Early Psychosis Intervention Network of California, which links clinics to share data and improve care. Programs such as the Felton Institute's early psychosis services are part of this wider network.
State role
The program reports that in 2025 the UC Davis team was designated the Department of Health Care Services funded Center of Excellence for coordinated specialty care for first episode psychosis, to work with California counties on delivering it.
