What the Atlas is
The Atlas documents specific, real psychiatric care programs, the way our Residency Guide documents residency programs. Where the Residency Guide answers what programs train psychiatrists, the Atlas answers what care models are running, where, and how they work. Every entry is built from the program's own official information and dated.
How entries are chosen
An entry has to be a real, operational program tied to an identifiable organization, publicly documented, and meaningfully distinct from routine care. We don't rank programs, we don't call anything a favorite, and no one pays to be included. Every page carries a correction link. See the submission and correction form to suggest a program.
How we verify and update
Each entry is built from the program's own official information, or from an equally authoritative source like a national program directory, and it carries the date we last checked it. Facts we can confirm sit under a verified-facts heading. Details a program reports about itself, like who it serves or how its model works, are labeled as reported by the program. We don't turn a program's promotional language into an independent Shrinkiatry claim, we don't rank programs against each other, and we note when a program is new, expanding, or long established. Every entry has a correction link, because programs change, and we'd rather fix a page than let it drift out of date.
