Cookie policy
What cookies this site sets, why, and how to say no. You can decline and nothing about the site changes.
This page explains the cookies and similar storage shrinkiatry uses. It's short, because we use very few, and you can turn the optional ones off without losing anything.
The short version
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people actually read. It sets cookies. We ask you first, and nothing analytics-related is stored until you say yes. If you decline, the site works exactly the same, and you won't be asked again unless you clear your browser storage.
We don't run advertising. We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't use advertising or remarketing cookies.
What we set, and when
Strictly necessary, and always on
Your theme preference, light or dark, is saved in your browser's local storage so the site doesn't flash the wrong theme at you every visit. Your cookie choice itself is stored the same way, so we can stop asking. Neither of these leaves your device and neither is used to track you.
Analytics, and only if you accept
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that let us count visits and see which pages get read and how the site performs. We have IP anonymization enabled. We use this to decide what to write next, not to identify you.
Until you accept, we run Google's Consent Mode with analytics storage denied by default. In plain terms: the tag is on the page, but it isn't allowed to store anything on your device unless you say yes.
How to change your mind
Your choice lives in your own browser. To reset it, clear this site's local storage and cookies in your browser settings, and you'll be asked again on your next visit. You can also block cookies for this site entirely, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which works across every site that uses Google Analytics.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies globally. Doing that won't break anything here.
Third parties
Google Analytics is provided by Google, and data processed through it is handled under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Web fonts may be served from a content delivery network. The site is hosted on a static hosting and content-delivery platform, which processes basic technical request data such as IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and protect against abuse, as essentially all web infrastructure does. Those are operational, not advertising.
Links to other sites in The Shrink Network, and to outside sources we cite, are governed by those sites' own policies rather than this one.
Signals we respect
If your browser sends a global privacy control or similar signal, we treat it as a request not to be measured. And regardless of any signal, the default here is denied until you actively choose otherwise.
